Star Wars Star Ivanna Sakhno to join Megan 2.0 Cast

Ivanna Sakhno, star of Ahsoka, has joined M3GAN 2.0’s cast. She will have a lead role in the Blumhouse and Atomic Monster sequel, according to Deadline.

The actor from Ukraine, who portrayed the evil Shin Hati in the Star Wars spin-off series, will appear on screen alongside Allison Williams from Get Out and Violet McGraw from The Haunting of Hill House, who played Gemma and Cady in the first movie, respectively.

M3GAN, a 2023 film directed by Gerard Johnstone, follows Williams, a skilled roboticist, as she creates a mechanical companion for her recently orphaned niece when her sister and brother-in-law pass away unexpectedly. Gemma programmes M3GAN to “protect Cady from harm, both physical and emotional” because she is too busy to connect with the lonely child. This update has disastrous results, as the artificially intelligent doll turns overly protective and begins to attack anyone she considers a threat.

The sequel’s screenplay was co-written by the original’s author, Akela Cooper, and Johnstone, who is also coming back to direct the next chapter. The premise of the sequel is still unknown, but fans have been wondering if it will be influenced by The Terminator series and see the title bot teaming up with her old foes to save them from an even more terrifying threat.

If this is the case, may Sakhno—who has a history that includes The Spy Who Dumped Me and Pacific Rim Uprising—be portraying this bigger evil? She has a lot of experience playing villains.
Time will tell. May 16, 2025, is when M3GAN 2.0 is scheduled to open in theatres. While you wait, have a look at our guide to the most anticipated forthcoming horror films or our list of the greatest horror films ever made.
